THE ULTIMATE SUMMERBLOG

here's exactly what i managed to do over the summer. Nothing, absoluetly nothing. Or actually, I did quite a few things. The mainhighlight was my trip to Beijing. My grandparents house, where I stayed at, was right next to the olympic gardens. So of course, I visited the facility. It was quite interesting. Here's a couple photos.

Here's the park surrounding the Olympic facilities

the ducks

turtles

all in all, a good place

Of course, when your in China, you visit relatives. And this time was no exception. I visited, uncles, aunts, granparents, cousins, second cousins. The whole lot. but to spare you all. Here's just my little cousin.

isn't she cute?

You can't go to Beijing without seeing the bird's nest. Which I just had to do. So here's a rundown of the famous stadium. It cost $100 yen to get in.

There's a lot more. But you get the idea. Not quite worth the 100 yen...

Of course, since it's an Olympic facility. There's bound to be spelling errors and grammar mistakes...

Don't you just love those?

Finallly. Here's a night view of the Bird's Nest. Note, the swindlers and peddler's are in the background somewhere. Beware of the fake souvenirs.

That's the swimming facility. It's pretty cool. Glows and changes colour too.

The broadcast tower. Forgive the horrible quality. (blame nokia)

All in all, here was the main highlight of my summer. A great access to the Olympic Gardens.
